TikTok engagement rate calculator
Measure a TikTok video by views or by followers. Add likes, comments, shares and saves, or fetch a public account’s figures to start from.
Views or followers?
On TikTok, most videos are watched by people who don’t follow you, so engagement is usually measured against views. A video with 6,000 views, 420 likes, 18 comments, 11 shares and 25 saves scores 474 ÷ 6,000 × 100 = 7.9%. Measuring the same video against 2,300 followers gives 20.6%, which says more about how far the video travelled than how good it was.
Where to find the numbers
Views, likes, comments and shares appear under every video. Saves appear on your own videos and some others. For an average across your account, add up five to ten recent videos and divide. The fetch box above the form estimates likes per video from a public profile (total likes ÷ number of videos), which is rough but quick.
What the result tells you
- High likes, low shares: people enjoyed it but didn’t feel the need to send it on.
- High shares: the strongest signal on TikTok. Make more like it.
- Low everything with high views: the video reached people but didn’t land. Look at the opening.
Before buying TikTok likes, use this to pick a sensible amount: keep the new likes-to-views ratio inside the normal range so the video still looks natural.
