Can you buy real Instagram followers?
Short answer: not in the way the adverts suggest. Here’s what “real”, “active” and “UK” usually mean on follower sites, and what you actually get for a few pence a follower.
Updated 22 October 2026
No seller can deliver genuine people who chose to follow you for a few pence each. What you can buy is a higher follower count from accounts supplied through follower networks. We sell exactly that, and call it what it is.
What sellers mean by “real”
Search “buy real Instagram followers” and every result promises real, active, high-quality followers. Usually “real” means the accounts have a profile photo, a name and a few posts, so they don’t look like obvious bots. That’s a statement about how the accounts look, not about whether a human chose to follow you because they like what you post.
What “active” usually means
Typically, that the accounts have posted at some point, or occasionally like things. It rarely means they’ll engage with your content, and even when a seller adds a few likes to make the numbers look lively, those are part of the product, not people who care.
And “UK followers”?
Think about the economics. A real person in Britain choosing to follow you is worth far more than 1p. Advertising platforms charge many times that to put your content in front of UK users, with no guarantee they’ll follow. A seller offering “real UK followers” at pennies each either can’t deliver what they promise or is redefining the words. We don’t offer country targeting, and we’d rather tell you why than invent a claim.

If you want real followers
Real followers come from people seeing your content and wanting more. The quickest legitimate routes are collaborations with accounts in your niche and, for businesses, small targeted ads. The free route is good content, posted consistently. Our guides to getting followers on Instagram and every way to get followers cover both.
How to spot exaggerated claims
- “Real, active, UK followers” at under 5p each.
- “Guaranteed no drop” or “lifetime guarantee”.
- “100% safe” or “approved by Instagram”.
- Reviews and counters you can’t verify anywhere else.
