Follower goal calculator
Enter your current followers, your goal and how many you gained last month. We’ll estimate how long the goal takes at your current pace, with or without a one-off boost.
How the estimate works
Your growth rate is the followers you gained in the last 30 days divided by where you started the month. If you have 850 followers now and gained 60, you began on 790, so you grew 7.6% that month. The calculator assumes the same percentage each month, which compounds: the more followers you have, the more you gain each month at the same rate.
With those figures, a goal of 2,000 comes out at about 12 months. That’s the honest picture for a lot of small accounts, and it’s why consistency matters so much.
What changes the answer
- A higher growth rate shortens everything dramatically. Moving from 7% to 12% a month roughly halves the time to most goals.
- A one-off boost (a collaboration, a post that travels, or a follower package) moves your starting point. Fill in the optional box to compare.
- Lumpy months. Use a typical month, not your best or worst.
Raising your growth rate
The practical levers are in our guides: getting followers on Instagram and on TikTok. Run this calculator again in a month and see if the rate moved.
